Pioneer Craftsmen Ltd. is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter for on-site leadership of residential renovation projects in Southwestern Ontario.

You will coordinate with Project Managers, Designers, Clients, Apprentices and trade partners to deliver high-quality finishes and exceptional results. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of residential carpentry, strong finish carpentry skills, and the ability to read plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of residential carpentry experience.
• Experience leading renovation projects or crews.
• Strong finish carpentry and renovation skills.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential renovation projects on-site and coordinate with PMs, designers, clients, apprentices and trade partners.
• Produce high-quality finish carpentry including cabinetry, trim, doors and hardware with precision.
• Mentor Apprentices and help develop their skills.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and professional job site.
• Translate design into practical execution with the team.
• Identify problems early and develop practical solutions.
• Keep projects moving while upholding quality standards.
• Build strong client relationships through professionalism and communication.

We’re looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter who takes pride in craftsmanship, enjoys solving complex renovation challenges, and leads by example. This isn’t production work or rough framing. It’s thoughtful renovation work where quality, communication, sound judgment, and attention to detail matter every day. You help guide the work on-site by anticipating problems, interacting with clients, and helping turn the design into practical execution. What You'll Do

As a Lead Carpenter, you'll be responsible for leading projects from the job site while working closely with our Project Managers, Designers, Clients, Apprentices, and Trade Partners.

You'll be trusted to:

• Lead residential renovation projects safely and efficiently
• Produce high-quality finish carpentry: install cabinetry, trim, doors, hardware and custom details with precision
• Coordinate daily activities with Project Managers and trade partners
• Mentor Apprentices and help them develop their skills
• Maintain an organized, safe, and professional job site
• Work with the Project Manager and Designer to translate the design into practical execution
• Identify problems early and develop practical solutions
• Keep projects moving while maintaining our quality standards
• Build strong relationships with clients through professionalism and communication

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

• 2+ years of residential carpentry experience
• Experience leading renovation projects or crews
• Strong finish carpentry and renovation skills
• Proficiency in reading plans and specifications
• Valid driver's licence with reliable transportation
