Quails’ Gate Estate Winery in West Kelowna is seeking a Lead Barista & Wine Sales Associate for the Market Café. You will support the Market Café leadership, lead service during peak times, and deliver warm, guest-focused experiences while highlighting Quails’ Gate wines and offerings.

The role requires barista and food service experience, a collaborative mindset, and certifications such as Food Safe and Serving It Right.

Qualifications

• Previous barista and food service experience; leadership or supervisory experience is an asset
• Passion for hospitality, wine, coffee, and creating memorable guest experiences
• Positive attitude with strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• A collaborative approach and willingness to support the team wherever needed
• Food Safe and Serving It Right certifications
• Experience with POS systems and Microsoft Office programs is considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Support the Market Café Manager with daily front-of-house operations
• Lead by example during service and help maintain a positive, team-oriented environment
• Assist with opening and closing duties, cash handling, and daily organization
• Support wine sales by confidently speaking with guests about Quails’ Gate wines and offerings
• Prepare and serve high-quality espresso beverages and café offerings with consistency and care
• Provide warm, polished, and guest-focused service
• Encourage wine knowledge and enthusiasm amongst team members through everyday coaching and support
• Help maintain cleanliness, organization, and food-safe practices throughout the café
• Assist in handling guest questions and concerns in a professional manner
• Step in to support service flow and team coordination when needed
