Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a talented Lead – Architect to join our team! The Lead – Architect is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of all phases of detailed design projects under their direction.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Collaborate with the Lead Designer and/or Design Director, as well as other team members, to lead analysis, synthesis, and recommendation of conceptual design alternatives for landscape architecture projects, effectively communicating and promoting the design vision.
- Review design drawings and specifications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements.
- Validate design calculations and ensure all technical aspects align with industry standards.
- Review and approve equipment and component submittals in coordination with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) staff.
- Review and validate responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) during construction.
- Approve shop drawings and construction models to ensure alignment with design intent.
- Provide field architectural quality assurance (QA) during construction phases.
- Support commissioning activities as required.
- Liaise with Project Managers, Discipline Leads, and team members including master planners, architects, urban designers, specialists, engineers, and quantity surveyors.
- Plan, program, and delegate within the team, while participating in workflow reporting and planning activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with clients and client representatives, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
- Contribute to the development of technical proposals, estimating effort, work plans, and schedules.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies by maintaining affiliations with professional societies and organizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
- At least 10 years of experience in master planning, urban design, and project execution, demonstrating increasing responsibility.
- Proven experience managing teams within architecture/engineering firms or client organizations.
- Strong leadership skills with a successful project delivery track record.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
