Job summary

DSV – Global transport and logistics is seeking a Supervisor, Airfreight in Winnipeg to oversee the processing of all airfreight shipments, monitor movement in transit, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. You will supervise the Operations Department staff and mentor the team to achieve growth and development.

You will interact with customers, overseas offices and carriers, lead process improvements, and support and train staff while driving profitability and cost

Qualifications

• Education in supply chain logistics or related field.
• Minimum three years in freight forwarding environment.
• Prior supervisory experience is an asset.
• CIFFA certificate/FIATA Diploma is an asset.
• Dangerous Goods certification is an asset.
• ACR designated status is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee airfreight processing and monitoring of shipments.
• Supervise desk level day-to-day operations of the Operation Department(s).
• Maintain high level customer service and build strong relationships with clients.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and staff development.
• Collaborate with sales to transition business from sales to operations and create SOPs.
