Job summary

RBC is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to shape enterprise-wide AI governance, standards, and patterns. You will architect governance artifacts, maintain CALM/Agent Card standards, and back the AI Architecture Review Board while building automation to surface insights across the AI estate.

You’ll work quickly in a fast-paced environment, balancing strategic standards work with hands-on tool development, and collaborating across EA, Security, and engineering teams to deliver responsible AI at scale.

Qualifications

• Strong grasp of AI technologies (LLMs, agents, RAG, agentic systems, AI infrastructure).
• Hands-on coding ability to build tools, automations, and prototypes.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, API design, and modern development practices.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain AI governance artifacts: patterns, standards, reference architectures, and technical whitepapers.
• Define and evolve AI Technical Reference Model, capability catalog, and license-to-build criteria.
• Support AI Architecture Review Board with materials, submissions, and architectural input.
• Partner with EA, Security, Engineering, and business teams to align governance across RBC platforms.
• Publish Architecture Decisions, surface governance data through AI Agents, and drive cross-pillar decisions.
