Job summary

Deel is seeking a Senior Staff Product Designer to lead the design vision for Deel AI, Akai, and related conversational interfaces. You will own end-to-end design strategy for AI products across payroll, HR, and compliance, guiding in-chat interactions, agent-driven workflows, and developer tooling.

You will lead a growing design team, partner with engineering, product, and leadership, and establish craft standards while shaping a seamless, coherent intelligent system across Deel’s platform.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as a Product Designer in a fast-paced environment at Staff level or above.
• Proven track record designing AI-powered products and complex workflows.
• Strong collaboration with engineering, product and leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Define the AI design strategy and vision across Deel AI, Akai, and related interfaces.
• Lead and mentor a growing team of designers; codify craft standards.
• Collaborate with ML engineers and AI researchers on interaction models and trust in AI features.
• Own cross-team communication to align stakeholders and drive outcomes.
