Job summary

Simplot Canada (II) Limited seeks an Area Agronomy Specialist to deliver agronomy services, enhance soil management and plant health, and collaborate with Area Location Managers to expand agronomy offerings. You will lead knowledge sharing, train location staff, and engage with customers to promote Simplot programs.

Successful candidates bring a degree in agronomy or related field, P. Ag/A.T designation, and at least 3 years of agronomy experience, with MSc valuable.

Qualifications

• Degree in agronomy or related field with emphasis on soil science and crop production.
• P. Ag or A.T designation required; MSc is an asset.
• 3 years experience in agronomy or related role; past industry exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver agronomy services to CrOptics customers and increase soil and plant health expertise.
• Lead in development and facilitation of training programs for location employees.
• Support customers and suppliers through prompt investigation of product inquiries.
• Attend local information meetings and in-season tours and relay knowledge to the team.
• Identify profit opportunities for agronomy/product programs and collaborate with Account Managers.
