Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Olds seeks an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) to assess emergencies, transport patients, and provide advanced medical care including medications and ALS therapy. You may lead the ALS team on scene or during transport and will ensure EMS vehicles stay stocked and compliant with standards.

This temporary full-time position requires non-restricted ACP registration with ACoP, BCLS certification, a valid Class 4 Alberta licence with a clean driver abstract, and FARE testing

Qualifications

• Non-restricted ACP registration in good standing (ACoP).
• Current BCLS CPR certification.
• Valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with a current 5-year driver abstract (≤6 demerits).
• F.A.R.E. test completed within 6 months before offer (via Lifemark).

Responsibilities

• Assess emergency scenes and patients; may transport between locations.
• Provide patient care by administering medications and ALS therapies.
• Lead ALS team during transport or on-scene patient care.
• Ensure ambulances/NET vehicles are stocked, maintained and equipped per standards.
