Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Grande Prairie is seeking an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) to assess emergency scenes, transport patients between facilities, and provide high‑level clinical care with ALS skills.

You will ensure ambulances and NET vehicles are stocked and ready, travel to remote locations, and work in demanding conditions. Strong ACOP registration, BCLS CPR, a Class 4 licence, and the F.A.R.E. test are required.

Qualifications

• Non-restricted ACP registration required.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) CPR certification.
• Valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with a five-year driving abstract within six months (max six demerits).
• F.A.R.E. test completed within six months of application or prior eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assess emergency scenes and patients; transport ill or injured individuals.
• Provide patient care with advanced life support and lead ALS team when needed.
• Ensure ambulances and NET vehicles are stocked, maintained, and ready for service.
• Travel to remote locations and work under demanding conditions.
