Job summary

Alberta Health Services - Emergency Health Services in Peace River EMS is seeking an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) to assess scenes and patients, transport as needed, and lead ALS crew during critical care. The role requires ACOP registration, BCLS/CPR, and a valid Class 4 Alberta license with a clean driving record.

You will work in a demanding environment with exposure to weather, remote locations, and physical strain, while ensuring ambulance readiness and patient safety.

Qualifications

• ACOP Advanced Care Paramedic registration in good standing.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support/CPR certification.
• Valid Alberta Class 4 Operator License or equivalent and a five-year driver abstract with minimal demerits.
• Proof of F.A.R.E. test completion or Lifemark certificate if not currently in an EMS position.

Responsibilities

• Assess emergency scenes and patients and determine appropriate transport.
• Lead ALS crew during patient transport or on-scene care and administer medications and ALS airway adjuncts.
• Ensure EMS vehicles and NET equipment are stocked and ready for service.
