Job summary

Dicam Landscaping in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking positive, down-to-earth people for spring lawn maintenance. You will join a small crew performing mowing, trimming, and site cleanup to meet our high Dicam standards and keep client properties shining through every season.

Start date is mid-April, with opportunities to learn landscaping skills and grow within the company. A strong team culture and safety-first approach are emphasized, with compensation based on experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Valid Driver's License preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and polite, cooperative manner.
  • Able to handle constructive criticism.
  • Hard working and detail oriented.
  • Safety conscious and punctual.

Responsibilities

  • Meet at the shop in the morning and assist crew leader with loading up truck and trailer.
  • Follow tasks assigned by crew leader when arriving at site.
  • Walk site to search for hazards and pick up garbage.
  • Complete machine work and other grass cutting and maintenance tasks with the crew.
  • Safely operate riding lawn mowers, trimmers, and backpack blowers.
  • Wear PPE and follow all safety expectations.
  • Help clean out truck and trailer of debris, garbage or brush at end of day.

The Position

We are currently looking for positive and down to earth individuals who are interested in working in landscaping this spring, as our Lawn Maintenance division is rapidly growing! Enjoy working outdoors with a great group of coworkers, learning new landscaping skills, and are interested in joining a company that helps employees become the best versions of themselves and grows their careers in landscaping? The successful applicants will work in a small crew assisting with mowing, trimming, and tidying up commercial properties to our Dicam standards to build long lasting relationships with our clients and make their properties shine throughout every season! This role is for both existing and new vacancies, with an anticipated start date in mid-April.

What a typical day looks like...

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Driver's License preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and capable of dealing with a wide variety of people in a polite, positive and cooperative manner
