Job summary

Dicam Landscaping is seeking Snow Walks Crew Members for part-time, on-call winter work in Hamilton, Ontario. Crew members will shovel, salt, and plow on commercial and condo sites under a crew leader, with emphasis on efficiency and safety.

This seasonal role runs from November 15, 2026 to April 15, 2027, ideal for students or professionals seeking extra winter income. We value a reliable, punctual, and team-focused attitude, with willingness to work long hours in varied weather and to mobilize

Qualifications

  • Previous snow removal or outdoor labour experience preferred.
  • Physically fit to stand, push, lift, and walk in cold weather.
  • Able to communicate with customers, management, and co-workers in a polite and courteous manner.
  • Punctual and responsive to internal communication.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the shop since not on public transit routes.
  • Team player with a positive attitude, reliable and dependable.
  • On-call 24/7 availability preferred.
  • Willingness to work long hours in various weather conditions.
  • Work in accordance with local health and safety laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to mobilization calls to confirm availability for a snow event.
  • Shovel snow off walkways and driveways and push to designated snow pile locations.
  • Spread salt on walkways during a snow event.
  • Plow snow when necessary using a snowblower.
  • Load salt and clean salt out of trucks.
  • Use tools and equipment for snow removal safely at all times.
  • Remove all garbage from the truck at the end of the shift.

We are currently looking for Snow Walks Crew Members who are interested in joining our part-time and on call support roster this winter! Enjoy working outdoors with a great group of coworkers, serving your community, and are interested in joining a company that helps employees grow their careers in landscaping and snow removal? If so, Dicam Landscaping is the place where you want to be!

Successful applicants will work with a small crew and use shovels and snow blowers to help keep our clients’ properties clear of snow and apply salt after snow events. You will work on commercial and condo sites under the direction of a crew leader. Our strength is organization and we plan our routes and crews in advance and always operate with maximum efficiency.

This is a great opportunity for students or working professionals who are looking to make a bit of extra money this winter! While we prioritize candidates who are able to provide full scheduling availability, we are also open to candidates who have limited availability. This opportunity goes from November 15, 2026 to April 15, 2027.

Our Expectations

Job Requirements
  • Previous experience in snow removal or outdoor labour preferred
  • Physically fit and able to tolerate long periods of standing, pushing, lifting, and walking in inclement weather conditions
  • Able to communicate with customers, management, and co-workers in a polite and courteous manner
  • Be punctualand responsive to internal communication
  • Reliable transportation to and from the shop as we are not located on a public transit route
  • Team player who has a positive attitude, and is reliable and dependable
  • On call 24/7 availability, including nights, weekends, and public holidays preferred
  • Willingness to work for long hours in various weather conditions
  • Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations at the shop and on jobsites
