Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Laundry Aide to perform laundry services, sort and distribute linens, and maintain clean, orderly laundry areas. You will follow approved procedures to wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens to clients while ensuring efficiency and safety in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and the capacity to work both independently and within a team.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or laundry is an asset.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively.
• Able to operate laundry equipment (washing machines, dryers, linen press, clothing labeler).
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently or in a team.
• Physically able to carry out duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash and dry linens following approved procedures.
• Fold, count, and stack linens.
• Collect soiled linens and redistribute clean linens.
• Transport supplies to storage and collection areas.
• Inspect linens for wear and tear and handle damaged items per SOP.
• Maintain clean, sanitary laundry rooms.
