Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Laundry Attendant to perform laundry services, clean and distribute linens to clients, and maintain the laundry areas in a neat, sanitary condition. You will sort, wash and dry linens, fold and stack them, collect soiled items, transport supplies, and routinely inspect linens for wear and tear, following the approved SOPs.

• Experience in housekeeping and/or laundry or equivalent combination of training and experience is an asset.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Able to operate laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, linen press, and clothing labeler.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
• Physically able to carry out duties of the position.

Job description

You will be responsible for performing laundry services including cleaning and distributing linens to clients.

• Properly sort, wash and dry linens following the approved laundry procedures
• Fold, count, and stack linens following approved laundry procedures
• Collect soiled linens along with redistributing clean linens
• Transport supplies to include clean and soiled linen to the appropriate storage and collection areas
• Routinely inspect linens for wear and tear, identifying worn and torn linens and following Standard Operating Procedure for damaged linens
• Maintain the commercial and residential laundry rooms in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition
