Job summary

Germain Hôtels in Canada is seeking a friendly laundry attendant to maintain bedding and linen to a high standard. You will operate washers and dryers, fold and store items, and ensure hygiene and safety in a fast-paced hotel environment.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and flexibility to work weekends and evenings. Training opportunities and employee rates at Germain Hotels are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar position or in the hotel industry, an asset.
• Good physical fitness: standing for long periods and ability to bend, lift and perform repetitive tasks.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision and collaborating as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort and inspect used bedding.
• Fill and activate washing machines and dryers according to procedures.
• Fold, hang and stack clean linen items in an organized manner.
• Iron items as necessary to maintain a neat appearance.
• Ensure storage and rotation of clean linen and monitor inventory.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Receive, sort and inspect (stains, wear, damage) used bedding.
• Fill and activate washing machines and dryers according to established procedures.
• Fold, hang and stack clean linen items in an organized manner to facilitate retrieval and distribution.
• Iron items as necessary to maintain a neat appearance.
• Ensure the storage and rotation of clean linen and the organization of facilities by monitoring inventory levels and reporting any malfunctions.
