Job summary

Coast Hotels Limited in Calgary is seeking a Laundry Attendant to support housekeeping operations on a part-time schedule (4–8 hour shifts). You will replenish linens, wash and dry supplies, and assist with uniforms to maintain Coast’s cleanliness standards.

This role requires physical stamina, reliability, and a customer-focused approach. You will work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth hotel operations.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to perform lifting and long periods of standing.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in linen handling and inventory.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Replenishes stock and clean linens, by picking up, washing and drying linens, towels and bathrobes according to standards.
• May wash and prepare uniforms for ambassadors, and separate out worn linen for discard.
• Cleans back-of-house areas, takes out garbage, reports deficiencies to housekeeping manager.
• Stocks supplies and maintains inventory levels in the assigned area.
• Responds to guest requests for extra amenities and assists with guest inquiries.
• Acts as an ambassador, making guests feel welcome and providing basic information.

Job description

The Laundry Attendant contributes to the overall success of the hotel by fulfilling Coast's expectations of superior customer service and quality standards of cleanliness by ensuring adequate supplies of clean linens and related items are available for distribution at the hotel. This is a part-time role, usually 4 - 8 hour days/week.

Responsibilities:

• Replenishes stock and clean linens, by picking up, washing and drying linens, towels and bathrobes according to Coast Hotels efficiency and cleanliness standards,
• May wash and prepare uniforms for ambassadors, and separate out any soiled, torn or badly worn linen for possible discard
• Cleans back-of-house areas of the property, by taking out garbage, stripping and waxing floors, reporting any deficiencies to the housekeeping manager so appropriate work orders can be filed with maintenance
• Stocks supplies and maintains inventory levels within the assigned area
• Responds to guest requests for extra or additional amenities or items
• Acts as an ambassador, including making guests feel welcome and handling basic inquiries
• Demonstrates a superior customer service attitude with internal/external contacts
• Other duties as required
