Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a reliable laundry attendant to manage linen services for our clients. You will sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens while maintaining clean and organized laundry facilities.

Responsibilities include operating laundry equipment, performing quality checks on linens, and coordinating with team members. Prior experience in housekeeping or laundry is an asset; strong physical ability and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience in housekeeping and/or laundry is an asset.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Physically able to perform duties.
  • Able to operate laundry equipment (washing machines, dryers, linen press, clothing labeler).
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.

  • Collect soiled linens and redistribute clean linens.
  • Transport linens and supplies to storage and collection areas.
  • Routinely inspect linens and handle damaged linens per SOP.
  • Maintain the laundry areas in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition.

Job description

You will be responsible for performing laundry services including cleaning and distributing linens to clients.

  • Properly sort, wash and dry linens following the approved laundry procedures
  • Fold, count, and stack linens following approved laundry procedures
  • Collect soiled linens along with redistributing clean linens
  • Transport supplies to include clean and soiled linen to the appropriate storage and collection areas
  • Routinely inspect linens for wear and tear, identifying worn and torn linens and following Standard Operating Procedure for damaged linens
  • Maintain the commercial and residential laundry rooms in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition
  • Experience in housekeeping and/or laundry or equivalent combination of training and experience is an asset
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Able to operate laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, linen press, and clothing labeler
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team setting
  • Physically able to carry out duties of the position
