Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Housekeeping Attendant to help keep the facility clean and orderly. The role covers cleaning guest rooms and common areas, following health and safety guidelines, and maintaining confidentiality of resident and staff information.

Responsibilities include cleaning washrooms, stripping/ washing linens, damp mopping floors, and removing trash. The position requires physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds and strong English communication.

Qualifications

  • Previous commercial housekeeping experience in a hotel or remote camp setting.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Good command of English language, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect washrooms, vents, interior windows, walls, glass, doors, and mirrors.
  • Strip, wash and fold linens.
  • Damp mop floors and perform surface scrubbing as needed.
  • Inspect lobbies, stairwells, elevators, and mezzanines and clean as required.
  • Vacuum carpeted areas and perform carpet extraction as needed.
  • Remove all garbage from resident rooms and common areas.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident and personnel information.
  • Maintain a safe environment at all times and follow health and safety guidelines.
  • Report injuries and hazards to supervisor and assist with emergency cleanups.

Job description

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for performing light cleaning duties that maintain the establishment in a clean and orderly manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Clean and disinfect areas and items such as washrooms, vents, interior windows, walls, glass, doors, and mirrors
  • Strip, wash and make beds; collect, wash and fold linens
  • Damp mop hard floors and auto scrub as needed
  • Check all primary areas, lobbies, stairwells, elevators/escalators, and mezzanines and clean as required
  • Vacuum carpeted areas and complete carpet extraction as needed
  • Remove all garbage from resident rooms and common areas
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident and personnel information
  • Maintain a safe environment at all times (e.g. use of wet floor signs)
  • Perform duties according to health and safety guidelines
  • Report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately
  • Responding to emergency cleanups as required
Qualifications

  • Good command of English language, both verbal and written
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Physical ability to perform all aspects of the job, including requirements to lift up to 20 pounds
Position Requirements
  • Shift: 9.5hr/Day
  • Rotation: 20 Days On/ 10 Days Off
  • Local applicants preferred
