Responsibilities

• Program and operate laser on a daily basis
• Follow through on first‑part‑checked procedure
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Take instruction and work‑load assignments from supervisors
• Gather and transport raw material to designated areas
• Perform safety inspections of hoists, forklifts, and machinery
• Perform minor repairs on laser as needed
• Enter work orders into JD Edwards
• Operate forklift

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

• Ability to read shop drawings
• Ability to follow safe operating procedures
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little or no supervision
• Skills needed to identify substandard workmanship in fabrication

Working Conditions

• Standing for long amounts of time
• Lifting or carrying alone or with assistance up to 50 lbs.
• Pushing, pulling, or dragging alone or with assistance up to 300 lbs.
• Work under hazardous, dangerous conditions (heat, dust, smoke, noise)
• Working outside in the elements (cold, heat, rain, snow)
