Job summary

Schulte Industries is seeking a skilled CNC lathe operator to join our team in Canada. The role involves daily CNC lathe operation, adherence to safety procedures, and maintenance of equipment. A high school diploma and WHMIS training are required, along with 3 years of experience operating CNC lathes (HAAS preferred) and forklift experience.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CNC lathe daily.
• Operate manual lathe as needed.
• Follow First Part Checked procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Meet schedule and deadline requirements.
• Take direction from Supervisors.
• Transport raw material to designated areas.
• Perform safety inspections of hoists, forklifts and machinery.
• Provide preventative maintenance on CNC equipment.
• Perform minor repairs on CNC lathe as needed.
• Operate forklift as required.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Program and operate CNC lathe on a daily basis
2. Operate manual lathe as needed
3. Follow through on First Part Checked procedure
4. Maintain a clean and organized work area
5. Maintain schedule and deadline requirements
6. Take instruction and work load assignments from Supervisors
7. Gather and transport raw material to designated areas
8. Safety inspections of hoists, forklifts and machinery
9. Responsible for preventative maintenance on CNC
10. Perform minor repairs on CNC lathe as needed
11. Operating forklift

Education and Experience:

• High school graduate
• Minimum of 3 years experience operating CNC lathes, HAAS machines preferred
• Forklift experience
• WHMIS Training
