Job summary

Arrow Machine and Fabrication in Stratford, Ontario, seeks a Laser Manufacturing Technician to operate and program CNC laser equipment, ensuring parts meet GD&T drawings. You will set up, program, and run laser cutting with fiber or CO2 lasers and optimize nesting while collaborating with production to improve processes.

The role requires 5+ years of laser cutting experience, CAD proficiency, and TRUMPF familiarity.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma or programming cert, plus laser cutting experience.
• Minimum 5 years laser programming experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software and programming language.

Responsibilities

• Program and run CNC laser equipment from drawings and CAD models.
• Inspect and verify part dimensions against work orders.
• Perform routine maintenance on optics and laser components.
• Troubleshoot laser alignment, software, and mechanical issues.
• Develop and optimize laser cutting programs and nesting strategies.
• Collaborate with production to improve processes.
