Brannon Steel in Brampton is seeking an experienced Laser Cutting Machine Operator for the afternoon shift (3pm-11pm). From $25.11 per hour plus up to $2 per hour in afternoon shift premiums, with a range of benefits and a stable, family-owned environment.

The role includes operating laser cutting machines, performing routine maintenance, handling materials with an overhead crane, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Overhead crane experience with valid training/record.
• Ability to read and interpret nest plans and part drawings.
• Comfortable using computers and basic software.

Responsibilities

• Operate laser cutting machines safely and efficiently (setup, monitor, troubleshoot).
• Perform basic machine maintenance (center lens, change consumables, clean).
• Organize equipment/materials to minimize downtime and downtime.
• Handle materials with overhead crane or other equipment; load/unload parts.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and organization; assist others when needed.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Job description

Brannon Steel is looking for an experienced Laser Cutting Machine Operator to work at its Brampton manufacturing location on the afternoon shift. From $25.11 per hour and up PLUS up to $2 per hour in afternoon shift premiums.

Shifts:

Afternoon (3pm-11pm)

Duties

• Operate one or more laser cutting machines in a safe, efficient manner (i.e. setup, monitoring, troubleshooting).
• Perform basic machine maintenance (i.e. centering lens, changing consumables, emptying waste).
• Organize equipment and materials to minimize downtime.
• Perform material handling activities (i.e. locating material, loading/unloading machine) using an overhead crane or other material handling equipment.
• Complete all required documents in an accurate and timely manner.
• Complete assigned housekeeping activities and contribute to overall shop cleanliness and organization.
• Assist other Laser staff when work schedule permits.
• Comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, and practices.
