Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication environment is an asset.

Role Description The Laser Punch Operator Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Coquitlam, BC. This role supports the operation of laser punch machines by preparing materials, loading and unloading sheet metal, and assisting with machine set-up and basic adjustments under the guidance of experienced operators. The assistant monitors production runs for accuracy, helps inspect parts to ensure they meet quality and safety standards, and reports any equipment or material issues to supervisors. Day-to-day tasks also include maintaining a clean and organized work area, following Lean Manufacturing and ISO 9001 procedures, and collaborating with team members to meet production schedules and on-time delivery goals.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication environment is an asset.
• Ability to read and understand basic work instructions and drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
• Willingness to learn CNC laser and punching equipment.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to safely lift and handle sheet metal materials.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• CSA-approved steel-toe boots are required (other PPE provided by the company).
