Marcon Metalfab in Delta's Tilbury Park is hiring a CNC Laser Machine Operator to join our growing team. The role requires operating CNC laser machines with a focus on quality and safety, reading shop drawings, and collaborating with a team to meet production targets.

Shifts are Day Shift, Monday to Thursday, from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Salary ranges from $28-$34 per hour, based on experience, with benefits including extended health, RRSP matching, and two weeks vacation.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience CNC laser or plasma cutting of steel.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Good computer knowledge.
• Experience with Mazak Fabrigear or Mazak equipment is an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and manuals.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Good communication in English.
• Able to operate forklifts, overhead cranes and precision tools.

Our team is growing, and Marcon Metalfab (www.marconmetal.com) is hiring a CNC Laser Machine Operator to join our dynamic team based in Delta’s Tilbury Park.

Position Details:

• Shift: Day Shift.
• Days: Monday to Thursday.
• Hours: 5:00 AM - 3:30 AM (10 Hours).
• Pay: $28 - $34 (based on experience).

Skills/Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in either laser or plasma cutting of steel.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Good computer knowledge.

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret shop drawings and other documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to work independently and in conjunction with other team members.
• Good communication abilities, in written and spoken English.
• Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking and prioritizing.
• Ability to operate a forklift, an overhead crane as well as precision measurement equipment.

• Proven experience operating CNC band saws in a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and technical documentation.
• Solid understanding of steel fabrication techniques and various steel grades.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
• Experience with forklifts, overhead cranes, and precision measurement tools is a plus.
