Job summary

Glen Group is actively hiring experienced Lane Closure Technicians to support projects across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. You will manage full lane closures, read and draw Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), complete FLRAs, and operate on active road and infrastructure sites.

Expect steady, year-round work with organized operations and strong field support. You will work with new trucks and a gas card for field operations, plus a compensation package and vacation pay with every cheque.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year LCT experience (required).
• Ability to read and draw TMPs.
• Ability to complete FLRA.
• Strong awareness of site hazards and safety risks.
• Good communication with crew, TCPs, and supervisors.
• Reliable, alert, and safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Review TMPs to set up lane closures and detours.
• Set taper lengths, buffer zones, and sign spacing.
• Install cones, delineators, signs, barricades, and arrow boards.
• Operate LCT trucks and equipment safely.
• Perform FLRA before and during shifts.
• Identify hazards and adjust setups.
• Inspect signage and equipment for visibility and compliance.
• Monitor traffic flow and adjust lane closures in real time.
• Coordinate with TCPs, supervisors, crews.
• Maintain radio communication during operations.
• Report incidents and near misses.
• Modify lane closures per project needs.
• Ensure full removal/cleanup after shifts.
• Complete daily logs and incident reports.
• Maintain focus on public and crew safety per MOTI standards.
