Glen Group is hiring Experienced TCPs and Lane Closure Technicians to support projects in Port Alberni, BC. You will manage lane closures, read TMPs, and perform FLRA while maintaining safe work zones on active road sites.

The role offers year-round outdoor work, with trucks and safety support from a seasoned team, including Health & Safety Officers and Traffic Supervisors. Competitive compensation is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year LCT experience (asset) / Minimum 9 months TCP
• Ability to read and draw Traffic Management Plans (TMPs)
• Ability to complete FLRA (Field Level Risk Assessment)
• Strong awareness of site hazards and safety risks
• Valid Class 5 driver's license & (Clean driver's abstract must be submitted)
• Good communication with crew, TCPs, and supervisors
• Reliable, alert, and safety-focused

Responsabilités

• Review TMPs to set up lane closures, tapers, and detours
• Calculate taper lengths, buffer zones, and sign spacing
• Install cones, delineators, signs, barricades, and arrow boards
• Operate and position LCT trucks and equipment safely
• Perform FLRA before starting work and update as conditions change
• Identify site hazards and adjust setups accordingly
• Conduct pre-shift and ongoing inspections for signage and equipment
• Monitor live traffic flow and adjust lane closures in real time
• Coordinate with TCPs, supervisors, and crews
• Maintain radios and site comms during operations
• Respond to incidents and unsafe conditions promptly
• Modify lane closures as needed per supervisor direction
• Ensure proper setup and full removal at shift end
• Complete daily logs, FLRA forms, and incident reports
• Maintain focus on public and crew safety per MOTI standards
