Job summary

Glen Group is actively hiring experienced Lane Closure Technicians (LCTs) to support projects across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. You will manage lane closures, read and draw Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), and perform Field Level Risk Assessments on active road sites.

We offer year‑round work with stable project flow, modern trucks and a gas card, and robust support from a Health & Safety Officer and Traffic Supervisor to ensure safe operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year LCT experience is required.
• Ability to read and draw Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).
• Ability to complete FLRA (Field Level Risk Assessment).
• Strong awareness of site hazards and safety risks.
• Good communication with crew, TCPs, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Review and follow TMPs to set up lane closures, tapers, and detours.
• Set up taper lengths, buffer zones, and sign spacing based on speed/conditions.
• Install and position cones, delineators, signs, barricades, and arrow boards.
• Operate LCT trucks and equipment safely for lane closures and work zones.
• Perform FLRA before and during the shift; update as conditions change.
• Identify site hazards and adjust setups accordingly.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections to ensure signage/equipment is visible and compliant.
• Monitor live traffic and adjust lane closures for safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate with TCPs, supervisors, operators, and crews to maintain workflow.
