Job summary

S&T Property Maintenance Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Operations Supervisor to oversee year-round property maintenance and landscaping. The role focuses on leading crews, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring safety, quality, and on-time project completion.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of supervisory experience, Grade 12 education, and proven ability to manage daily operations, coordinate schedules, and perform routine preventive maintenance on fleet equipment.

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or crew leadership experience.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience performing equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead landscaping, maintenance, and snow removal crews.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily work schedules and project priorities.
  • Operate heavy equipment including wheel loaders, skid steers, excavators, trucks and trailers.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor mechanical repairs.
  • Coordinate major repairs and maintenance with outside service providers when required.
  • Ensure equipment is clean, fueled, and ready for daily operations.
  • Assist with landscaping projects including grading, sod installation, planting, irrigation, and site maintenance.
  • Oversee winter snow removal operations including sidewalks, parking lots, and commercial properties.
  • Monitor job quality, productivity, and crew performance.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate employees while promoting a positive team environment.
  • Maintain accurate equipment maintenance records and daily job documentation.
  • Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with OH&S regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with management, clients, suppliers, and team members.
