Job summary

Birnie Plumbing & Drains in Hamilton, Ontario, is seeking a Labourer/Drain Technician to diagnose and resolve residential drain issues while delivering excellent service to customers. You will handle in-home drain cleaning, jetting, and cable work, and communicate clearly with clients about blockages and solutions.

No prior industry experience is required, as training is provided. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Experience in the plumbing industry is an asset but not required.
• Strong communication with customers and team.
• Hard worker who persists in finding solutions.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential drain systems.
• Complete drain cleaning, jetting, and cable work on in-home calls.
• Connect with customers and build positive relationships.
• Explain blockage causes and planned resolutions to customers.
• Perform general labour as needed.

The Opportunity

Key job tasks include:

• Diagnose and repair residential drain systems.


• Complete all drain cleaning, jetting, and cable work related to in-home service calls.


• Connect with customers and build a positive relationship.


• Communicate to the customer the reasons for the blockage and how you will resolve it.


• General labourer work as required.

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: $20-30 per hour, with uncapped earning potential through bonuses.
