Job summary

Blackline Civil Inc. is seeking a hardworking Labourer to support underground utility construction throughout Alberta's Central/Northern projects.

You will work with established crews on trenching, pipe installation, and site setup, contributing to water, sewer, and storm system installations. Ideal candidates have construction or labour experience, the ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

• Previous construction or labour experience.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with trenching and excavation work
• Help install water, sewer, and storm pipes
• Load/unload materials and tools
• Use hand tools (shovels, tampers, saws, etc.)
• Maintain site cleanliness and organization
• Direct traffic or equipment when required
• Follow instructions from Topman, Foreman, and operators

About the Role

We are looking for a hardworking Labourer to assist with underground utility construction, including water, sewer, and storm systems. You’ll work alongside operators, pipelayers, and supervisors to support trenching and pipe installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with trenching and excavation work
• Help install water, sewer, and storm pipes
• Load/unload materials and tools
• Use hand tools (shovels, tampers, saws, etc.)
• Maintain site cleanliness and organization
• Direct traffic or equipment when required
• Follow instructions from Topman, Foreman, and operators
