Job summary

Interpro Recycling is seeking a yard technician to sort and prep scrap metal, operate conveyors and shredders, and assist in maintenance. The role requires physical work, commitment to safety, and flexibility to cover shifts, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Handle, sort, inspect, grade, and organize scrap metals in the yard
• Operate conveyors, shredders and yard equipment with basic maintenance
• Prepare scrap materials for processing and shipment, including cutting larger pieces
• Assist shredder mechanics and provide general shop support
• Maintain a clean, safe yard and comply with SOPs, SWPs, and PPE
• Perform physical labor including lifting, moving, stacking, and bending
• Support 24-hour operation with flexible shifts, including nights/weekends

As a team we collaborate to solve problems, contribute ideas and challenge each other to ensure growth and ultimately success for the business and our employees.JOB SUMMARY:May include but not limited to: pick non-ferrous metals from moving coveyor, cleans around mill, assists shredder mechanics in general maintenance, feed conveyors & other equipment, sort, stack and move materials throughout the yard.
