Job summary

American Iron & Metal in Quebec City is seeking a General Labourer to join our team. The role centers on receiving, sorting, and handling non-ferrous metals with most tasks performed indoors and occasional outdoor duties to support operations.

The successful candidate will unload trucks, inspect products, weigh materials, prepare shipments, and maintain a safe, organized site while adhering to health and safety standards. Industrial experience and forklift skills are assets.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial, recycling, or related environment is preferred.
• Experience operating a forklift or similar equipment is an asset.
• Knowledge of different metals is an asset.
• Ability to perform manual labor indoors with occasional outdoor work.
• Good physical condition and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, resourceful and health-and-safety conscious.
• Team player with strong collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and follow established procedures.
• Unload, sort, inspect, and handle materials.
• Identify and classify non-ferrous metals.
• Weigh and organize materials.
• Prepare shipments and incoming deliveries.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the site.
• Work safely in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Perform any other related duties supporting operations.
