Advanced Flow Systems Contract Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Labourer to join our Supply chain team in Chilliwack, BC. You will work as part of a strong, collaborative team to support production and shop upkeep, handling materials and contributing to overall efficiency.

Essential tasks include general labour, material handling, shop improvement support, labeling and packaging, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Power tools experience required.
• Experience operating forklift or heavy equipment is an asset.
• 6 months to 1 year in manufacturing is preferred.
• Mechanical background is an asset.
• Knowledge of OHS legislation is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labour tasks in a manufacturing environment.
• Assist with handling and moving raw materials and finished products.
• Support shop improvement projects and production upkeep.
• Label, package and prepare finished products.
• Maintain a safe work environment and housekeeping.
• Assist shipping and receiving as needed.
• Operate forklift or electric pallet jack safely.

Salary Range: CA$21.00 To CA$26.00 Hourly

Advanced Flow Systems Contract Manufacturing is looking for an experienced and energetic Labourer to join our Supply chain team in Chilliwack, BC.

Working as part of a strong and collaborative team at Advanced Flow Systems, the Labourer will support in a variety of jobs to assist in production and shop upkeep.

Essential Functions for this Role are:

• Perform general tasks or general labour as required in a manufacturing environment
• Assist with handling and moving raw materials and finished product as needed
• Assist with shop improvement projects
• Label, package, and prepare finished products as needed
• Perform general shop cleaning and upkeep
• Support shipping and receiving activities as needed
• Operate a Forklift or Electric Pallet Jack in a safe manner to move product within the manufacturing facility
• Work in accordance with the quality management system
• Complete all applicable quality records
• Maintain a safe work environment, including good housekeeping, proper lifting techniques and proper use of all materials i.e., box cutters
• Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills required:

• Power tool experience required
• Experience with maintaining and/or operating a forklift and/or heavy equipment an asset
• 6 months to 1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Fast learner
• A mechanical background is considered an asset
• Overhead crane experience is an asset
• Detailed oriented and the ability to prioritize effectively
• Positive outgoing attitude; with a professional demeanor
• Read and understand processing, handling and application requirements for all materials
• Knowledge of OHS legislation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Intermediate computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
