Job summary

Advanced Flow Systems Contract Manufacturing in Chilliwack, BC is seeking an experienced Labourer to join our Labourer to join our Supply chain team in Chilliwack, BC. The role supports production and shop upkeep with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Essential tasks include general labour, handling materials, shop improvement, packaging, cleaning, and operating forklifts or pallet jacks. The position requires tool experience and a mechanical mindset, with opportunities to grow as the company

Qualifications

• Power tool experience required.
• Experience with maintaining and/or operating a forklift and/or heavy equipment is an asset.
• 6 months to 1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Fast learner.
• A mechanical background is considered an asset.
• Overhead crane experience is an asset.
• Detailed oriented and the ability to prioritize effectively.
• Positive outgoing attitude; with a professional demeanor.
• Read and understand processing, handling and application requirements for all materials.
• Knowledge of OHS legislation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Intermediate computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)

Responsibilities

• Perform general tasks or general labour as required in a manufacturing environment.
• Assist with handling and moving raw materials and finished product as needed.
• Assist with shop improvement projects.
• Label, package, and prepare finished products as needed.
• Perform general shop cleaning and upkeep.
• Support shipping and receiving activities as needed.
• Operate a Forklift or Electric Pallet Jack in a safe manner to move product within the manufacturing facility.
• Work in accordance with the quality management system.
• Complete all applicable quality records.
• Maintain a safe work environment, including good housekeeping, proper lifting techniques and proper use of all materials i.e., box cutters.
• Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records.

Salary Range: CA$21.00 To CA$26.00 Hourly

Working as part of a strong and collaborative team at Advanced Flow Systems, the Labourer will support in a variety of jobs to assist in production and shop upkeep.
