Job description

Reports To: Branch Manager and/or Field Supervisor

Department: Surface Equipment

Safety Sensitive: Yes

Major Responsibilities

1. Help around the site with loading and unloading materials and moving them to work areas.
2. May perform some specialized tasks which may require on-the-job training.
3. Perform various physical duties as assigned.
4. Assisting with the setup and takedown of tank farms.
5. Other duties as required.

Specific Accountabilities:

1. Travel as required to service equipment to meet customer’s needs.
2. Communicate with Strad employees to ensure operations flow seamlessly. This will involve communicating with Dispatch, Billing Administrators, other Field Service Technicians, Supervisors, and Management.
3. Fill in appropriate field paperwork when required to do so by Field Supervisor.
4. Fill in necessary computer databases when required to do so by Field Supervisor.
5. Follow Company Policies and Procedures and adhere to Company Safety Standards and Safety Manual.

Knowledge, Education, Skills & Qualifications

1. Previous oilfield experience preferred.
2. Experience with setup, repair, and maintenance of related oilfield equipment an asset.
3. Desire to provide top service for customers.
4. Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to relate well with customers and coworkers.
5. Safety courses and related tickets are required (WHMIS, First Aid, H2S).
6. Must be able to work alone.

Physical Requirements:

1. Be free of drugs and/or alcohol.
2. Requires strenuous activity – walking, bending, crouching, and standing for long periods of time; must also be able to lift up to 100lbs.
3. Must be mentally alert at all times.
4. Ability to drive for extended periods of time safely in varying weather conditions.
5. Work in outdoor weather conditions in wet and extreme cold.
