General Laborer with Electrical Experience - Morning Shift

Position Overview

As a General Laborer with Electrical Experience, you will support our heating and cooling equipment operations by assisting with assembly, installation, and wiring of electrical panels, performing general shop duties, and supporting technicians as needed.

Shift Details

Morning shift, 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday - Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor production schedule and report any issues impacting it.
• Compare received parts against BOM.
• Review drawings and parts, notifying Engineering of errors.
• Request parts from warehouse.
• Build panels, terminate wiring, and print wire tags for electrical department.
• Ensure quality standards and safety policies are followed.
• Support continuous improvement efforts.
• Perform continuity checks on panels.
• Mark up electrical drawings and deliver to Engineering for As-built drawings.
• Collaborate with parts department and Engineering to resolve panel issues.
• Maintain tools and tool PM sheets in panel shop.
• Perform tasks safely in accordance with health & safety policies, JHAs, and SWPs.
• Follow all company policies and rules.

Required Education & Qualifications

• Proven ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to learn and follow electrical drawings, wiring schematics, and BOM.
• Experience bending and installing rigid and EMT pipe, with knowledge of pipe fill and wire sizing.
• Ability to mount panels, VFDs, filters, and install tubing and devices.
• Experience with wiring, pulling, and terminating wires, and installing lights.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Capable of multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability for overtime when required.
• Understanding of electrical and engineering principles.
• Previous manufacturing experience.
• HVAC knowledge is a plus.
