Alberta Precision Laboratories, a subsidiary of Alberta Health Services, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist I at the Brooks Health Centre. You will handle daily processing, testing, result analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples in a dynamic lab team.

Requirements include an accredited MLT program completion and eligibility for CMLTA registration. Strong teamwork, phlebotomy and communication skills are essential, with Connect Care knowledge considered an asset.

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.

Required Qualifications

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program.Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications

The successful applicant must have a strong sense of teamwork and possess excellent communication skills. Excellent phlebotomy skills, strong technical skills and adaptability are imperative in this position.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Connect Care, as well as recent bench experience are assets
