Job summary

Orano Canada Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform Mill and Environmental assays and support equipment maintenance at McClean Lake on a 14 day in/14 day out schedule.

The role requires a Chemistry degree or Chemical Laboratory Technology background and offers a path from junior to senior levels. The position includes adherence to safety and environmental policies, accurate record-keeping, and collaboration with supervisors and mill personnel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of laboratory experience preferred.
• Graduate of a recognized Chemical Laboratory Technology program or a University degree in Chemistry.
• Experience with XRF, ICP-MS and HPLC is considered an asset.
• Preference given to residents of Saskatchewan’s North (RSN).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine Mill and Environmental assays in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain safety and hygiene standards in the lab area.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment with basic preventive maintenance.
• Keep accurate records of analysis, equipment condition and calibration.
• Flag irregularities to supervision affecting accuracy or throughput.
