Job summary

Orano at McClean Lake is seeking a Mill Operator – Temporary on a 14 days in/14 days out rotating schedule. Reporting to the Mill Operations Supervisor, you will perform duties safely and efficiently while gaining certification in mill circuits.

This role is located at the McClean Lake site and includes training, development, and opportunities to lead in process areas. Ideal candidates hold Grade 12 or equivalent, with preference for mill circuit certification and at least one year of mill

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent is required.
• Preference for candidates with mill circuit certification at McClean Lake or progressing towards certification.
• One year mill operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all duties in a safe and efficient manner.
• Complete training in confined space entry, fall protection, lockout, WHMIS, and radiation.
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment competently after training.
• Mentor peers as a trainer in the six process areas.
• Operate all mandatory mobile equipment competently.
• Assume leadership roles when requested (lead hand, project lead, etc.).
• Participate in weekly safety huddles.
• Manage ore receiving, leaching, CCD/tailings, clarification/SX, precip/Calcining, JEB and SUE water treatment.
• Promote operational excellence and the OE culture.
• Comply with Orano health, safety and environmental policies.
