  • Set up and operate laboratory equipment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Review data and calculations to ensure accurate analytical results and QA/QC compliance.

SUMMARYPerforms routine laboratory tests under close supervision to determine chemical or physical characteristics designated by the client.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESRead and understand all Must comply with Safety Responsibilities explained in the Safety Responsibility Policy (CA-ADMR-S24).Maintain a safe, clean and efficient workplaceEnsure that all safety infractions are addressed in a timely manner.May interface and communicate with clients regarding the relevance, validity, and application of analytical testing performed and data generated.Maintain compliance with the Health, Safety, and Quality Management Systems requirements.Contribute to the effectiveness of the Management Systems, including improvement of performance and reduction of nonconformitiesPerform specialized tests and calculations on reservoir and non-reservoir rock and fluid samples in order to derive accurate data necessary to compile reports concerning tests and analyses for distribution to company clients.Set up and operate various types of laboratory equipment in order to successfully complete assigned tasks.Maintain and perform minor repairs and maintenance to equipment in order to ensure equipment is functioning in the most efficient and accurate manner.Review data and calculations to assure accurate analytical results.Perform appropriate quality control guidelines in concert with the QA/QC program that is utilized in the department to assure accurate analytical results.Respond to on-call situations after normal working hours.Perform other assigned duties to ensure that projects are completed on an accurate and timely basis.Perform special projects as required or requested by superiors.Must be skilled in several aspects/services in one or more sections and be familiar with their theory and application.
