Job summary

AGAT Laboratories is seeking a dedicated laboratory professional to perform basic procedures, prepare samples, and calibrations. You will operate instrumentation under supervision and ensure results meet quality and turnaround targets.

With 2+ years of lab experience and strong computer skills, you will contribute to accurate data records, support team efforts, and assist with additional duties in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Science degree or diploma required in a related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of practical laboratory experience.
• Knowledge of full laboratory processes and procedures.
• Strong computer skills and data handling abilities.
• Ability to work well both independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic laboratory procedures including sample prep and calibration solutions.
• Operate instrumentation with supervision and ensure proper use.
• Meet quality and turnaround time specifications for analyses.
• Complete basic analyses and document results accurately.
• Compile, verify and validate data records; assist with other duties as assigned.

What you will be doing:

• Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples reagents and calibration solutions
• Operate various instrumentation with supervision
• Meet Quality and Turn Around Time specifications
• Complete basic analysis
• Compile, verify and validate accurate data records
• Other duties as assigned

What you bring to the table:

• Technical Diploma or degree in Science required
• Experience in independent and team-based work. A willingness to assist others when needed is essential.
• 2+ years of practical laboratory experience required
• Knowledge of full laboratory processes
• Advanced Computer Skills
• Ability to work in a positive manner in a fast-paced environment

The schedule for this position would be Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Work Environment:

This position requires a person to stand, sit and lift throughout the shift in a laboratory environment. Manual dexterity is required to perform repetitive tasks. PPE is required where applicable.
