Bureau Veritas is looking for a LABORATORY TECHNICIAN – ISP/Pour-Off.

Contract position from June 2, 2025, to December 12, 2025.

This funded position requires the candidate to be a recent graduate from a recognized Nova Scotia post-secondary institution.

As a LABORATORY TECHNICIAN, your responsibilities include:

• Performing procedures in Chemistry/Biology and general laboratory tasks.
• Preparing inorganic samples (soil and water) and conducting straightforward tests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures.
• Complete work records and label raw data properly.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness.
• Prepare and clean glassware.
• Prepare samples, reagents, and ensure proper labeling and storage.
• Perform simple analyses and operate balances and meters.
• Maintain instrument records.
• Meet quality and turnaround time requirements.
• Update supervisor on workstation status and delays.
• Maintain control charts, monitor tolerances, and discuss remedial actions.
• Work in a standard laboratory environment.
• Be available for shift work, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Technical diploma required; B.Sc. preferred.
• Experience with aseptic procedures.
• Knowledge of SOPs and instrumentation.
