Job description

Job Title : Registered Nurse or Medical Laboratory Technologist (ML)

Location : Nova Scotia

Remote : No

Calian Patient Support Program is recruiting experienced MLTs and Registered Nurses to provide in-home support in Nova Scotia. This casual/part-time role offers flexible scheduling to supplement your income. Candidates must have a valid MLT or RN license in NS, a valid NVCI Blue Card, and a NSHA Phlebotomy Competency Certification.

Calian’s Patient Support Program designs and implements comprehensive programs that enhance patient experiences throughout their treatment journey, connecting all parties with a targeted, patient-focused approach.

Responsibilities :

  • Administer in-home infusions and injections, and provide training on auto-injection and self-injection devices.
  • Schedule patient appointments directly or via caregivers.
  • Conduct visits at patients' homes or approved locations.
  • Follow up as needed post-visit.
  • Complete timely documentation using our proprietary system.
  • Report adverse events within 24 hours.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Valid MLT or RN license in NS.
  • Valid NVCI Blue Card.
  • CPR certification.
  • At least 2 years of post-graduation nursing experience.
  • Ability to independently organize and schedule visits based on patient availability.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills.
  • Customer service skills for interactions with patients, professionals, and industry personnel.
  • Home office setup including computer, internet, and mobile phone.
  • Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
