Responsabilités

• Perform laboratory testing of water and hydrocarbon fluids per SOPs.
• Maintain, calibrate, and clean lab equipment.
• Manage inventory of laboratory supplies and samples.
• Receive and handle samples during normal business hours.
• Dispose waste per health, safety and environmental policies.
• Support safety and quality initiatives and activities.
• Report malfunctions to the laboratory manager.

Job Description

What your day might look like:

• The Laboratory Co-op will support the daily operations of the analytical laboratory, maintaining smooth testing workflows and ensuring a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to)

• Perform laboratory testing of water and hydrocarbon fluids as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Adhere to the analytical and quality control protocols accurately, timely, and safely.
• Maintain, calibrate, and clean laboratory equipment and apparatus.
• Manage inventory of laboratory supplies, sample containers and consumables.
• Receive and handle samples delivered to the facility during normal business hours.
• Dispose waste materials in compliance with health, safety and environmental policies and requirements.
• Support safety and quality initiatives and activities.
• Effectively manage all assigned tasks to ensure completion by established timelines.
• Report malfunctions (threshold exceeded, non-compliant samples, quality alert procedure) to the laboratory manager.

• Ability to accurately read and interpret various documents, including instruction and safety manuals.
• Proficiency with Google Suite Applications.
• Full-time availability for 8-12months starting May/June 2027.

Compensation:

The compensation range is tied to the market for similarly bench-marked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $24.72-27.30CAD
