Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Field Engineering Intern to join our Water Tech team in an industrial water treatment environment. You will gain exposure to system drawings, on-site field checks, and monthly reporting while supporting a strong technical service culture.

This 14-month co-op starts in May 2027, offering hands-on experience with experienced professionals and opportunities to contribute to optimization and decarbonization projects within Veolia's global water strategy.

Qualifications

  • Experience performing basic chemical tasks such as titrations, pH and conductivity measurements.
  • Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot chemical feed equipment.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Visio, and online data management.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and maintain deliverables in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Full-time availability for 14 months starting May/June 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Generate system drawings, PFDs, for use in on-site manuals and proposals.
  • Conduct wet testing in laboratory on water samples.
  • Actively monitor process equipment performance through online tools.
  • Assist in completing monthly reporting requirements.
  • Manage bulk chemical inventory and assist with ordering chemical products as required.
  • Perform field checks on process equipment (flows, pH, conductivity, chemical residuals).
  • Work with supervisors on plant equipment optimization opportunities.

Job Description

As the Field Engineering Intern, you will be joining a strong technical service environment. Inthis role, you will have an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals within thefield of industrial water treatment. You will gain exposure supporting water treatmentsystems and assist the organization in achieving its annual goals and objectives as an activeparticipant.

This is a full-time, 14 month co-op, with an anticipated start date in May 2027.

Nature of work:
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);

  • Generate system drawings, PFDs, for use in on-site manuals and proposals

Compensation:

The compensation range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $24.72-$27.30 CAD
