Qualifications

• Strong leadership and communication skills for supervising a CCIL-accredited lab.
• Experience leading laboratory operations and project delivery.
• Familiarity with ASTM, AASHTO, CSA, and BC transportation specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily laboratory operations for soil, aggregate, asphalt, and concrete testing programs.
• Coordinate testing schedules and allocate resources to meet project deadlines.
• Provide technical oversight for geotechnical and construction materials testing.
• Review and approve laboratory test results and reports.
• Maintain CCIL accreditation and quality management system requirements.
• Ensure compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, CSA, and BC Ministry specifications.
• Oversee equipment calibration, maintenance, and replacement planning.
• Lead safety initiatives and ensure WorkSafeBC compliance.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate laboratory personnel.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, productivity, and profitability.
• Support clients, project managers, audits, budgeting, and continuous improvement activities.
