Job summary

EXP Kamloops seeks a seasoned Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager to lead technical teams and drive business development. The role blends fieldwork, client engagement, and office collaboration to deliver geotechnical and materials testing projects from conception to completion.

You will guide staff, ensure safety and quality, manage budgets, and collaborate with management to execute branch strategies while maintaining strong client relationships in Western Canada.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience.
• Registered P.Eng. with EGBC or ability to transfer existing designation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Experience with mid-rise, commercial, subdivision, and municipal/highway projects.
• Comfortable conducting fieldwork and engaging directly with clients.
• Experience with materials testing and geotechnical investigation methods.
• Shoring systems for parkades or geohazard mitigation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership to Engineers, EITs, and Technicians.
• Champion safety and quality standards across branch operations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through project engagement.
• Lead geotechnical and materials testing projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop annual budgets and monitor KPIs with Branch Manager.
• Support staffing and staff development to ensure operational continuity.
• Liaise with clients on site visits and provide practical, hands-on solutions.
