Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a science field preferred.
• Experience in pharmaceutical contract research and GLP knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Archive study and non-study data in electronic and printed form.
• Retrieve archived material.
• Maintain documentation to meet GLP requirements and SOPs.
• Ensure supplies are ordered in a timely manner.
• Manage inventory of chemicals, biologics, consumables, and supplies.
• Perform physical inventories and maintain records.
• Receive, log, sort, label incoming samples and place in storage.
• Prepare paperwork to release and ship materials to clients or suppliers.
• Monitor shipments and coordinate delivery schedules.
• Maintain storage area in a clean and organized manner.
• Assist with general facility maintenance.
• Other tasks as required.

Job Title : Lab Assistant - Sample Coordinator and Archivist

Frontage is a global Contract Research Company (CRO) with the head office located in Exton, Pennsylvania, USA . Frontage has 25 sites across USA, Canada, China and Italy. The Canadian operations include two sites – one located in Vancouver and the other based in Toronto. Frontage Vancouver (formerly BRI) has been in operation for more than 25 years with service offerings in regulated and non-regulated bioanalytical (various platforms including LC/MS/MS and MSD for small and large molecules analyses), In-vitro / In-vivo Drug Metabolism & Pharmacokinetics and pharmacology. The Frontage Vancouver operation is projected to grow significantly in the next few years, especially to meet the demands of biotech and pharmaceutical companies in the Pacific Northwest region. Our facility is accredited by AAALAC and conforms to GLP standards.

Currently, we are seeking highly motivated team players to join Frontage organization in various roles.

This position requires excellent oral, written communication, and strong organizational skills.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in a science related discipline is preferred
• Experience in pharmaceutical contract research and GLP compliance knowledge is an asset
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong planning, organization and leadership abilities
• Competent and self-motivated individual able to work independently
• Good logical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, holidays, extended shifts and/or extra shifts, sometimes on short notice

Job Responsibilities :

• Prepare appropriate paperwork to release and ship material to appropriate clients or suppliers
• Monitor incoming carrier shipments and coordinate delivery schedules
• Maintain storage area in a clean and organized manner
• Help with general facility maintenance as needed
• Other tasks as required
