Alberta Precision Labs in Edmonton at the University of Alberta Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant I for the Toxicology/Trace Elements laboratory. You will perform specimen handling, program instruments, run quality control, and support storage and transport of samples while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

This temporary full-time position involves inventory management, data entry, and Epic usage, with shifts including days, evenings and weekends.

Qualificações

• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
• Data entry experience.
• Experience in inventory control, equipment maintenance and specimen handling.
• Recent experience in Epic.

Responsabilidades

• Program technical instruments and perform quality control procedures.
• Prepare specimens for storage or transport and manage filing.
• Organize workflow and distribute specimens for laboratory testing.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders regarding specimens.
