Alberta Health Services (AHS) is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant I for the Special Chemistry department at the University of Alberta Hospital. This role supports both independent work and team collaboration, handling specimens, data entry, and reagent management with attention to safety and efficiency.

The position requires completion of an accredited MLA program, experience with Epic, and inventory control.

Formación

• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
• Data entry experience.
• Experience in inventory control, equipment maintenance, and specimen handling.
• Experience in Epic.

Responsabilidades

• Procure, handle, process, dispatch and test specimens.
• Prepare specimens for storage or transport to other facilities.
• Receive, organize and distribute specimens for laboratory testing and investigation.
• Maintain minor equipment and manage documentation.
